When overhauling an engine, it is mandatory to replace both oil seals as
as well as the main bearings since they support the crankshaft and turn at
HIGH RPMs.
That is why for a better and specific crankshaft overhaul for the
most popular models of scooters, wasps and mopeds, Polini has made a
special kit.
The Polini kit is complete with oil seals and bearings and is perfectly
interchangeable with the original spare parts .
The crankshaft bearings are made of steel with a C4 spiked cage.
The oil seals are made of FKM (fluorocarbon rubber) to
withstand the highest thermal stresses, have the sealing lip coated in
PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene); this feature, in addition to ensuring
a longer service life than standard ones, means that they have a
significantly lower coefficient of friction thus ensuring less
leakage and at the same time maintains lower temperatures.
The Polini crankshaft overhaul kit is perfect for original engines but is
perfectly suited for upgraded engines as well.
