THE FIRST POLINI CARBURETOR IS BORN. BEYOND TECHNOLOGY
"The first carburetor in our history is not only new, it is a technologically better carburetor."
That was the big Polini idea, and this is the big result: an innovative carburetor where every single component was conceived, developed and produced by the Bergamo-based company. Available in a wide range of 15/17.5/19/21/23/24 diameters, it is made entirely of aluminum, boasts compact dimensions and 40 percent less weight than a conventional carburetor. The very short intake port is distinguished by its unique concentric design and a geometry that can best optimize air flows during gas transit. The gasoline overflow in the atomizer is made in such a way as to ensure proper flow dynamics at each throttle opening position. The gasoline inlet hole and larger needle allow constant draft even under the most extreme conditions of use. The all-plastic float level and needle seal are carefully checked in production to ensure the same standard of efficiency over time. These features make it possible to significantly simplify carburetor calibration tuning. Thanks to the highly refined calibration scheme, the gasoline-air, maximum jet and minimum jet flows are designed for maximum efficiency with lower fuel consumption. The compact size of the new carburetor necessitated careful and meticulous management of internal space and maximum efficiency of all components, which underwent stringent millesimal checks. To ensure easy and precise assembly on the most popular engines on the market and compatibility with different filter boxes, both original and racing, flanges with a variety of diameters are available. The realization of such a prestigious project required a profound synergy of skills in the field. An extraordinary teamwork between the technical and racing departments to achieve the result that is before the eyes of all enthusiasts: a technologically superior product of absolute reliability.
