Pass-through captives, only for liquid-cooled scooters (7 transfers and crossmember at exhaust - piston 1 segment - decomposable head - original crankcase fairing required - crankshaft with different connecting rod than original).
Derived directly from the seven-pot technology that animates the revolutionary Flanged Mounts, the BIG BORE Testa Rossa cylinders represent the latest success achieved thanks to the commitment and study that Malossi wanted to continue to devote to the engines intended for the original Piaggio and Yamaha crankcases, and, with their unprecedented displacement of an impressive 70 and 94 cc, they make a significant leap forward in the performance of the BIG BORE family.
Externally almost indistinguishable from their flanged counterparts, the BIG BORE Testa Rossa provide a through-bolt pattern compatible with both original engines. On the inside, too, the total similarity with the Flanged Mounts continues, thanks to the renowned seven-passer configuration and dual exhaust ports, with the only difference being precisely the limits posed by the internal stud passage affecting the size and development of the exhaust. The head is once again decomposable, with new internal profiles designed specifically to increase the torque and feel of the engine, which is now significantly brighter and even more progressive. The head cover is forged aluminum, red anodized and turned on CNC machines with very high precision.
