Bevel gear for primary transmission Vespa Smallframe and Ape 50

The new gears feature a self-locking cone that can stably couple the crankshaft and pinion gear.

With this system, the key does not have to be used. Ideal for tuned engines and damaged crankshafts on the keyway.

No. 3 threaded holes are provided for pinion extraction.
The extractor (supplied separately), must be screwed in as in the following pictures.
The reduced part of the plate, is used to hold the tool in place with a No. 19 wrench.
In the center is a hex head screw that is screwed in with a No. 13 wrench.
For extraction, it may be necessary to overheat the pinion with a workshop-type hair dryer.

The tooth thickness has been reinforced (increased width 0.80 mm) across its entire profile.

Beware of Z 27 - 28 - 29 teeth that may interfere on the engine crankcase. If needed, unload the affected area (as little as possible) to achieve pinion rotation without interference.

Before using the wasp, check that there is maximum smoothness between the pinion and sprocket. There should be a minimum clearance of 0.20 mm between the 2 sprockets.
