Capacitors or capacitors are a part of the electrical system that does not deserve to be overlooked. The capacitor operates in parallel with the point switch circuit, thus minimizing contact point erosion driven by the rotation of the permanent magnets located in the flywheel and the electric arc between the separate contact surfaces. The point surface deteriorates according to the total mileage traveled during the life of the component. The result of this erosion is a weaker, reddish ignition spark before it fails completely.
