Steering dampers are used to prevent dangerous impacts on the handlebars when the front wheel is unloaded or raised. They also reduce unwanted steering vibrations, such as oscillations in a critical speed range.

This speed does not have to be high; pendulum tilt depends on many different factors and can occur several times over a wide speed range.

The BGM's gas pressure steering dampers effectively prevent this dangerous impact on the handlebars (kick-back) and the tendency to swing.

Steering dampers are inexpensive tools for increased safety on the road and in races. In principle, shocks work the same way as shock absorbers, damping is the same in tension and compression.

The steering damper housing is milled from Ergal 7075 from a single block.

The steering damper compensation chamber "rests" on the piston rod, which means the BGM steering damper requires only little space and works perfectly.

The damping of the BGM steering damper is adjustable by 10 clicks, thus becoming linearly tighter. Therefore, the steering dampers are also ideal for road traffic, where too hard a base setting often does more harm than good.

The total length is 380 mm, and the available damping stroke is 125 mm.

The freely positionable clamp allows mounting on almost any vehicle.
